Spiral Classifier
Application of Spiral classifiers: Spiral classifier are widely used for distributing ore in the close circuit with ball mill, grading ore and fine slit in the gravity mill, grading granularity in the flow of metal ore-dressing and desliming and dehydrating in the washing. Advantages are simple structure, reliable working condition and convenient operation. According to the principle that different grains are with different specific gravity and sedimentation rate in the liquid, the fine ore flows in the water and the coarse ore sinks in the bottom. The classifier that has machine grading by discharging from the top can filtrate the materials and send coarse materials to the feeding mouth and discharge the fine material from the pipe. The seat of the machine adopts channel steel and body adopts armor plate and the spiral axle adopts cast iron, so it’s durable. The lifting equipments have two types, by electricity and hand.
Introduction to Spiral Classifier Our company produces spiral classifiers designed to classify particles according to size during mineral processing. The ore is distributed in closed circuits with ball mills. They facilitate the grading of ore and fine silt in gravity mills, grading granularity and flow of metal ore-dressing, and de-slimming and dehydrating in the washing process.
We produce 4 main types of spiral classifiers: High weir single spiral, high weir twin spiral, submerged single spiral, and submerged twin spiral.
The single type classifier is available in two versions: traditional and advances versions. The advanced version is equipped with an automatic lifting device at the sand feedback end. It lowers the sand discharge to an appropriate position at the bottom of the tank wall for discharge. In this case, there is no need for a scoop therefore saving 1-1.5 kwh of energy while at the same time reducing the maintenance cost (no scoop maintenance). Additionally, wearing of the big and small gears is significantly reduced. The absence of the scoop also enables the mill to run smoothly, ensuring operation efficiency, reduced power consumption while maintaining high performance and milling capacity.
This product has a simple structure, facilitates reliable working conditions, and is convenient to use. In operation, the fine ore flows in the water while the coarse ore sinks in the water. This is made possible because different grains have different sedimentation rates and different gravity. This makes them drop at different speeds. Filtering can be carried out and the coarse materials are sent to the feeding mouth while the fine materials are discharged by spiral pushing through the pipe.
The base of the machine is made up of a channel steel material while the body has a welded steel plate. The spiral axle is made of cast iron in order to ensure durability. The spiral classifier is fitted with lifting equipment which may either be manually or electrically controlled.
